Manchester Alliance Williams BMW Junior Challenge Knock-out

Crewe Golf Club juniors won a fiercely contested first round match against Alsager Golf and Country Club on Saturday 24th March 2012, in this 7-player knock out event. The Crewe team with wins from Ryan McCandless, Kristian Towers and Isaac Hall managed to get 3 to 2 games up from the first 5 matches, but then Jack Mitchell's game was levelled on the 18th to force him and his opponent to go to extra holes.

As Jack and his opponent headed down the first Peter Ford was heading down the 18th, 1 up in his game and needed just a half on the last hole to secure victory for the team. Peter managed to win the hole thereby winning his match two up, unaware that Jack had also won his match on the first play-off hole. The Crewe team won by 5 matches to 2.
