Captain and Lady Captain Drive In
The President, Tony Davies, welcomes the new Captain, Mark Tizard, and Lady Captain, Verona Herringe, and friends on Sunday 23rd March 2008 to the Captain's and Lady Captain's drive in
The 2008 Lady Captain, Verona Herringe, was first to drive into office with a magnificent drive of 176 yards The 2008 Captain, Mark Tizard, was presented with a new driver. As use of the new driver was likely to be a hair raising experience the Captain decided against its use

AGM, 20th March
The President Tony Davies successfully managed the meeting to a timely conclusion.

The 2007 Captain Peter Geddes welcomed the 2008 Captain Mark Tizard, thanked him for his support during last season, and helped him into his Captain's blazer

Mark Tizard thanked the Club for the honour of Captain for 2008 and Peter Geddes for guidance in this role. Mark presented Peter with goggles and snorkel so that in future Peter could find his ball and trolley on the occasions he visited the ponds on the course
Drive to Increase the Ladies Membership

The Club has instigated a drive to increase the number of women and girl members. The drive is supported by a poster campaign aimed at relatives and friends of existing members and also by advertising in the local press. The drive offers a fabulous beginners package.
