Course

A not-so-gentle opening hole. There is more room to the right of the oak tree than is visible from the tee. The green is well guarded by a front pond, left hand bunker and a fall-off to the right and rear.

A strong par 4 (5 for ladies) that plays longer than its yardage as it gently goes uphill. Another well protected green featuring two bunkers.

A slight dogleg from right to left. A blind shot to the green is a feature here as it is situated at the lowest point of the course with an out of bounds stream to contend with.

An uphill hole with a bank to carry off the tee. It's quite a tight drive and when you reach the green you will find that it slopes down from back to front.

A pretty par 3 well guarded by bunkers both left and right. Beware of all the trouble at the rear of the green.

Again, an uphill hole with a considerable bank to carry from the tee. Once at the top of the bank the green and its bunkers are clearly visible.

Bigger hitters do not require a driver here. Just short of a valley which is around 200 yards from the tee you'll find both a right hand and left hand fairway bunker. At some stage you will require a well struck shot to carry to the green on the other side.

Generally regarded as the signature hole the 8th is another lovely par 3. The green is on a plateau so requires a shot with plenty of carry on it.

The last of the uphill tee shots and certainly a strong finish to the front nine. A hole that again plays longer than its yardage, doglegging to the left as it finishes with another elevated shot.

As you see it with a ditch running up the right-hand side until you are about 150 yards from the green. There is a pond just off the right-hand side of the green.

A slight dog leg from left to right with the mens tee shot crossing a pond. This time the ditch is down the right of the hole starting at 200 yards from the tee.

Our shortest par 4 but beware! Anything left off the tee usually means a blocked off second shot and a struggle for a par.

The first of the par 5's for men. A gentle sweep to the hole from left to right with a pond strongly protecting the right-hand side. Once you have reached the green you will find it is on two levels.

The last of the par 3's where the green needs to be carried unless you are extremely accurate and can thread your shot between the three greenside bunkers.

A lovely par 4 with two ponds being the strong features of the hole. Again, unless you can run your shot through the gap you will need to carry the water to the green. No driver required here for longer hitters.

The second of the par 5's on this nine which gently turn from right to left. This hole certainly plays its length. The green comes into view when the fairway drops down a level and all becomes apparent.

A nice dog leg left to right, well protected from the tee with two fairway bunkers. The green is revealed when you reach the corner of the dog leg.

A strong finishing hole. The tee shot needs to be straight with trees down the left and a hawthorn bush and out of bounds on the right-hand side. Also, the green is particularly well guarded with two huge greenside bunkers.
